Martinelli Winery has sustainably farmed Wines Since the 1880s… From our Family to Yours The Martinelli Family has grown grapes and made wine in the Russian River Valley since the late 1880s. As of 6th generation stewards of some of the finest vineyards in the region, we’re proud to continue this legacy of hands-on farming, bringing decades of experience to everything we do. Our limited production wines and sparkling wines are crafted from our Estate Vineyard plantings of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Zinfandel, and Muscat.
It all started on Jackass Hill. Of course, folks said, “you’d have to be a jackass to farm a hill that steep.” But young Tuscan-born immigrant Giuseppe Martinelli looked at that 65-degree slope of the land, rolled up his sleeves, and planted a vineyard anyway. Martinelli Winery has been growing grapes and making wines ever since.
Martinelli Winery wines are born in the vineyard. And, with 450 acres of 100% sustainably farmed estate vineyards, we can afford to be selective. As a result, our small-production vineyard-designated wines showcase our family’s favorite blocks, capturing the terroir of each site while highlighting the nuance of the vintage.
The primary goal of Martinelli Winery has always been hand-crafting quality wines that are born in our estate vineyards. Our commitment is to quality. These wines are limited production and each vineyard is hand farmed very carefully, producing only the finest quality fruit.
Martinelli Winery is a proud partner of Priority Wine Pass, where you not only get to discover the best wineries within your ‘wine tasting near me’ results but also save on wine tasting fees (so you can buy more wine, of course!). They have been around since 2012 and are the largest wine passport program of its kind and offer a full-time concierge that will help plan your trip around the types of wine you prefer once your pass is bought.
